DON'T BE AFRAID OF COVID-19
JUST FOLLOW THESE BASIC STEPS!
A novel coronavirus related to WHO Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV) has been identified as the cause of a new respiratory disease associated with severe acute respiratory illness (SARI), and termed Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS-CoV) or sometimes simply Coronavirus.
So, if we are following these basic steps then I don't think we should be afraid of Coronavirus.
The novel coronavirus is not the first infectious disease with which humanity has had to deal. The biggest, most vicious, and most familiar acute viral disease in history was influenza. So, we have a lot of existing experience of the way our societies combine to manage major outbreaks. How might we do better this time?
Let us judge ourselves and know are we afraid of Coronavirus?
Are we wearing masks wherever we are going whether it be for shopping or for meeting relatives or for a trip or to visit Doctor? If yes, then, of course, we are afraid of Coronavirus and of course, we should be.
#2. Proper Hand Wash
Are we using Sanitizer or handwash when coming home or going someplace or other's home for a visit. If yes, then, of course, we are afraid of Coronavirus and of course, we should be.
#3. Social Distancing
Are we maintaining social distaining whenever we are going out shopping or for Doctor's consultation or visiting neighbors or relatives? If yes, then, of course, we are afraid of Coronavirus and of course, we should be.
Now the question comes; is it good to afraid?
Well, let me tell you, the simple logical answer to your good question.
In this pandemic, as we all know that precaution is first, and we will take this precaution when we are afraid of coronavirus. So, it depends on you if you have taken this coronavirus seriously and you know you are following these steps daily or whenever needed then you should not be afraid because you have made your routine like that only. Now, those people who daily have to go for grocery and they come tired and forget to take precaution then, of course, they should be afraid of coronavirus.

What to do if you have Asymptomatic cases, mild cases of COVID-19?
- Isolate yourself in a well-ventilated room.
- Always use a triple layer medical mask, discard your mask after 8 hours of use or earlier if they become wet or visibly soiled. If a caregiver is entering the room, both caregiver and patient may consider using N 95 mask.
- Discarded your mask only after disinfecting it with 1% Sodium Hypochlorite.
- Drink a lot of fluids to maintain adequate hydration and take rest.
- Always follow respiratory etiquette.
- A proper hand sanitizer is one ingredient in making yourself stay safe.
- You must not share your items with other people in the household.
- Remember to clean surfaces in the room that are touched often like tabletops, doorknobs, handles, etc.
- Monitor temperature daily.
- Monitor oxygen saturation with a pulse oximeter daily.
- If any deterioration of symptoms is noticed, connect with the treating physician promptly.
The above measures will reduce your risk of getting the novel coronavirus (nCoV) or serious illness if you are exposed to it.
Treatment of the patients with mild/asymptomatic disease must be in-home isolation.
Be in communication with your treating physician and case of any worsening promptly report it.
You must continue the medications for other co-morbid illnesses after consulting the treating physician.
Patients must follow symptomatic management for fever, running nose, and cough, as warranted.
It would be good if Patients take steam inhalation twice a day or may perform warm water gargles.
When we should go for immediate medical attention?
When we are having Difficulty in breathing
When we can feel Dip in oxygen saturation (SpO2 < 94% on room air)
Constant pain/pressure in the chest
